How to help us give you the best photos for your listing.

Help Us Help You

We can’t turn an unclean house into a pristine home. To help us help you get the best photos possible, please do a little prep work beforehand to get the listing looking spick and span.

And even though we’re not housekeepers, we’ll help with a few little things if needed.

Front of House

Close garage doors

Remove cars from driveway and front of home

Clean up landscaping (mow, trim shrubs, clear leaves)

Remove empty planters

Remove cobwebs from door frames and eaves

Remove water hoses

Remove any toys

Interior

Thoroughly clean the whole house (vacuum carpet, mop hard floors, dust furniture, clean countertops, clean windows)

Turn on all overhead lights and lamps

Replace all burned-out light bulbs

Ensure all bulbs are the same temperature

Turn off all ceiling fans

Turn off all TVs and computer screens

Open blinds or window treatments to let in outside light

Remove personal photographs (or replace with general landscape or object photographs)

Make all beds

Remove small floor rugs to reveal actual flooring

Place all shoes/jackets in closets

Backyard

Clean porch and tidy up any tables, chairs, or cushions

Pillows or cushions should be fresh, not faded

Put away any toys

Clean pool

Remove pool vacuum hose

Hide pool cleaning supplies

Turn on any pool fountains or water features

Remove visible water hoses

Remove trash cans

Move furniture

Clean and sweep the house

“Photoshop” out vehicles, power lines, wall pictures, cords, etc.

Touch any bathroom items (shampoo, toothbrushes, deodorant, towels)

If you don’t want yoga balls and knickknacks in your photos, please remove them before the shoot!
